Elizabeth is a UX Researcher at Shopify in Toronto, where she spends most of her time conducting research to ensure that Shopify’s messaging bots are helpful and human, rather than confusing, cold, and, well, robotic! Prior to entering the field of UX, Elizabeth completed a PhD in Psychology at the University of Chicago, where her research focused on explaining why normal, healthy humans can differ widely in their cognitive and perceptual abilities. In her spare time, Elizabeth designs and sells psychology-themed apparel and mugs for her store, Good Gestalt Designs.
